Well, I thought, if the Scots can celebrate Burns Night on 25th January, why shouldn't we go for a different, if equally unpleasant why of dying as a name for the evening? I could have gone with 'Walks the Plank' Night, which is even more appropriate for us, but probably too cumbersome.
But really, it's just the Winter Regatta at the Old Inn again - two course hot buffet dinner and participant performances. The menu was Spanish chicken, Seafood casserole, Vegetarian curry followed by Sticky toffee pudding, Apple and pear crumble and Cheese & crackers - all for £18. Not bad, eh? If you didn't come, maybe next year?
Because the light was so low there weren't too many photos taken - just the one on the header of this page (thank you, Saul Ackroyd for that!). But I did take a few bits of video which I'm slowly uploading to You Tube. Here they are. They aren't complete songs and performances, for that, you needed to be there... I haven't put everything i recorded on the website because not everything came out very well. We finished the evening with everyone singing the Club Song, some of which I recorded - the last bit of video is part of that.
