Summer's creeping on after one of the most depressing early springs I can remember. (it never snows on my birthday. It isn't allowed. But this year it did and I haven't forgiven it yet.)
And early summer meant it was time for the Ruggle Regatta!
This year we had the following performers making an appearance, not necessarily in this order:
Mariners Away shantymen (back by popular demand)
Denbury Folk (ditto)
Glorious Chorus - new for this year
Skylarks - also new
John Culf (image above)
Parting Gesture
Widecombe Singers
Raven's Return.
A nice mixture of performers we'd seen before and some we hadn't.
The format was a free event in the garden of the Rugglestone Inn.
Sunday May 13, from 2pm onwards. Life jackets not provided.
By the way, my birthday was in March, in the middle of that second snowy deluge.
