Friday 12th August.
Langworthy Farm, Widecombe, TQ13 7UB
Music was provided by the celebrated Banned From The Moor, with dance moves called by Jayne Boswell.
Hot food by Trudy Buckingham.
A bar full of grog!
The shoulder parrot competition was well attended, with parrots masquerading as badgers, octopii, pheasants and parrots. A healthy profit of £13 was donated to the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust.
"Just wanted to say how thoroughly I enjoyed myself Friday night. I danced every dance in the
first set. I loved it when it was going well and wept with laughter when it didn’t which
was quite often. I managed to change sex in one dance – that was due to an over-
enthusiastic man who didn’t know his clockwise from his anticlockwise. Brilliant." - Bridget
"Hi Daf
Just a note to say thanks we enjoyed the barn dance, really enjoyed it." - Chris and Les
"Jill and I just wanted to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all the hard work and organisation which you put into last night. It was an amazing occasion - great food and company and of course Banned from the Moor who got us all strutting our stuff! Our friends from Ashprington had a thoroughly good evening too." - David
